The goal of the workshop is to assess the state of the art in the
three action areas (1) UTLS datasets, (2) UTLS data assimilation, and
(3) scientific data application. Furthermore, we want to use the
workshop to consolidate the working groups and their program for the
next 18 months. (More information about COST Action 723 as a whole can
be found in the technical
annex of the Memorandum of Understanding.)
Registration
To register, please fill out the registration form and send it to Susanne Korn
<susanne@sat.physik.uni-bremen.de>. Please note that only a
limited number of participants can be reimbursed by COST, furthermore
there are some formal rules how these have to be distributed in terms
of countries and working groups. The three working group chairmen
together will try to make a fair and practical selection. But for us
to do a good job it is important that you register as soon as
possible. The extended deadline if you want to be considered for
reimbursement is February 3. This is necessary because the final list
has to be known to the COST Secretary by the end of the first week of
February.
Please register in any case, also if you have been approached by us as
an invited speaker, or if it is otherwise clear that you will
participate. This just so that we get all the data together in a
consistent way.
Participants
The file registration_data.xls
contains all the data from the registration forms. Note: All the data in
the file is as people gave it, with the exception that people were
assigned to one and only 1 WG when their data was ambiguous. This is
required by COST.
Practical Information
How to reach ESTEC is described in detail here.
It is recommended that you stay in a hotel in Noordwijk. As a
suggestion, the "Prominent Inn" or the "Mercure" are both directly at
the sea shore. Reservations can be conveniently made through the
ESTEC hotel reservation service. Just send an email to the ESTEC Hotel Reservation Service
<estec.hotel@esa.int>, stating your preferred hotel and the
time period. You will get a reduced rate if you book through ESTEC.
